About Lyon County Criminal History

Lyon County criminal records are divided among the Sheriff's Office, six local court counters, the Nevada State Police Records Bureau, the Nevada Department of Corrections, and the Nevada Public Sex Offender Registry. Yerington, the county seat, holds the main justice complex, but Fernley and other communities retain separate counters and court routes. This private reference resource organizes those channels so readers can identify the right custodian without confusing an arrest report, jail booking, court disposition, or fingerprint-based state history.

Why We Built This Site

Nevada records law provides access to many government documents, yet access depends on finding the office that created the item. LCSO Records maintains local reports and booking information. Court clerks keep filed charges and dispositions. The Nevada State Police Records, Communications and Compliance Division maintains the fingerprint-supported Central Repository, while the Nevada Department of Corrections and Nevada Public Sex Offender Registry serve different purposes. Lyon County also lacks a single public trial-court portal, and its jail lookup is app-only. Bringing those distinctions, contacts, fees, and request steps together makes local record research more direct.
