Questions about official Lyon County criminal records belong with the government office that created the record. LCSO Records handles sheriff reports and booking information, the correct court clerk handles its docket, and Nevada State Police manages fingerprint-based state histories. The contacts below route common requests without treating one office as the custodian of every record.

This Is Not a Government Office. Lyon County Criminal History is privately operated. It cannot retrieve records, run official checks, correct a history, or accept a Nevada record-sealing filing.

Need an Official Record?

Use the office that holds the specific Lyon County or Nevada record:

  • District Court case files: Lyon County District Court Clerk, 911 Harvey Way, second floor, Yerington, NV 89447, (775) 463-6503; public counter Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Sheriff reports and booking information: LCSO Records Division, 911 Harvey Way, Yerington, NV 89447, (775) 463-6600
  • State criminal history: Nevada State Police, Records, Communications and Compliance Division, Records Bureau, for the subject-only DPS-006 fingerprint process
  • Yerington police reports: Yerington Police Department, 227 South Main Street, (775) 463-2332
  • Local court records: contact the justice or municipal court that heard the case rather than assuming the District Clerk holds every docket
  • Record sealing: use the court with jurisdiction and the Lyon County District Attorney's local petition instructions

After submitting an involved-person LCSO report request, a requester may present photo identification at the Yerington main office or the substations at 555 East Main Street in Fernley, 801 Overland Loop in Dayton, or 2475 Fort Churchill Road in Silver Springs. Posted substation hours are generally weekdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., with lunch closures at Fernley, Dayton, and Silver Springs. Call first before traveling.
